DEBORAH APPLE

Deborah Apple is an active and diverse clinician and teacher in the Boston area. As the Teacher Development Director at the Boston Music Project, Deborah supports teachers in their classroom management, social emotional curriculum implementation, and music literacy resources. Additionally, she currently has a small studio of students in West Roxbury, where she provides Suzuki and traditional instruction to all ages. The students learn musicianship, theory, and technical facility as well as leadership, perseverance, and commitment through weekly lessons and semi-annual studio recitals. At Beaver Country Day School she directs one of the middle school string ensembles. Deborah has presented at professional development conferences across the country on topics including social emotional learning, civic engagement, and gamification in the music classroom. In addition to her teaching, Deborah also performs with the Brookline Symphony.
